The Centre for Nonlinear Dynamics (CNLD) was created in recognition to the contributions made by Vigyan Shri Prof.M.Lakshmanan in the field of Nonlinear Dynamics in the year 1990. In the following years the Department of Science and Technology (DST) and the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) have supported to develop the infrastructure, library and computational facilities. Currently it is one of the top-ranking centres of excellence in Nonlinear Dynamics at the national and international levels. About 57 research scholars have obtained their Ph.D degree and more than 25 post-doctoral fellows have worked in several disciplines of Nonlinear sciences. CNLD has published more than 500 research articles in internationally reputed scientific journals with high impact factor and 10 books. The major areas of research include
- Integrable Systems
- Chaos Theory and Bifurcations
- Nonlinear Electronic Circuits
- Complex Systems
- Time Delay Systems
- Machine Learning
- Quantum Solvable Systems
- Synchronization
- PT-Symmetry
- Bose-Einstein Condensates
- Turbulence
- Mathematical Methods
